BULAWAYO – Namib Minerals’ How Mine has achieved a major safety milestone after clocking one million fatality-free shifts, the company announced on Thursday, hailing the feat as proof of its world-class safety record.

The milestone reflects the mine’s “unwavering commitment” to maintaining a safe and caring work environment, Namib Minerals said in a statement.

Group CEO Ibrahima Sory Tall said the Bulawayo-based gold operation has over the years implemented a range of initiatives designed to strengthen a culture of shared responsibility and vigilance among employees.
