“This month’s clean-up campaign day, on the first Friday of August was held at the Manicaland Provincial Heroes Acre This was part of our preparations to host this event It is also testimony to the fact that our preparations for these events started way back, and we are now polishing up We are working well with different committees that were given different tasks to prepare for both events,” said Mr Maronge
Mr Maronge said different arts and entertainment groups have already done their preparations for presentations at the Defence Forces Day commemorations at St Noah Apostolic Church grounds “People should also be aware that it will be a highly entertaining day at St Noah Apostolic Church grounds in Marange for the Defence Forces Day commemorations because we already have different arts and entertainment groups that have confirmed their participation and are also preparing for the event “There will also be a football match pitting the Marange select team up against a Defence Forces team on the Defence Forces Day commemorations at St Noah Apostolic Church grounds in Marange,” said Mr Maronge He urged citizens to throng district and provincial venues for the two events in a show of respect for the fallen and living heroes and heroines of Zimbabwe as well as the country’s Defence Forces
