We have new investments into different sub-sectors within our purview that speak to the provincial development matrix,” Epworth Local Board’s director of works, Engineer Benard Wiridzai said.“We had challenges that include informal settlements. But we now have regularisation and the title deeds programme.
We are also constructing new markets and developing piped water schemes to augment the presidential borehole sinking programme,” Chitungwiza Municipality’s Acting Town Clerk, Mr Japson Nemuse stated.The provincial development plan is guiding the province on existing developmental programmes in areas of infrastructure development and housing, food security, climate resilience and environmental protection, among other areas.“We are in the strategic planning and budgeting processes of our respective MDAs for the year 2026. We therefore need to come up with strategies and programmes for implementation in our province, guided by the provincial economic development plan, Harare Metropolitan Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Senator Charles Tawengwa noted.Meanwhile, Harare Metropolitan province will this week host an investment and business conference, aimed at attracting sustainable investment and fostering dialogue between key stakeholders in the business sector.
