President Hakainde Hichilema has reiterated government’s commitment to improve the Kazungula-Sesheke road as part of government’s efforts to improve road infrastructure and accelerate development in Southern Province. The President also pledged increased investment in agriculture through the establishment of maize depots, expansion of water schemes, improved health and education services, and rehabilitation of feeder roads. He further assured farmers supplying maize to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) of timely mobile payments.

“Farmers who deliver maize to FRA will continue receiving their payments on time because agriculture remains a priority for this government,” he said. “We have brought free education, increased the Constituency Development Fund, recruited teachers and nurses, and we are ready to do even more.
