So what we have is a youth empowerment strategy, so we are talking to our sister ministries, departments and agencies so that everybody is moving towards youth empowerment. “With the youth empowerment strategy, which will be launched by His Excellency in October, everybody will be mandated to provide statistics on how many youths they are reaching out to, empowering and enrolling on their systems. “It is a deliberate action that we need when we’re doing youth work,” said Dep Min Mupamhanga.

He said President Mnangagwa has also made sure that people living with disability are included in the deliberate action. “I will be happy when we get to a stage where, as we plan as a ministry, we sit down and have a strategic retreat to discuss a way forward for the coming financial year since budget consultations are ongoing,” said Dep Min Mupamhanga. “We also need to be inclusive in our systems so that when we are planning, we’re planning with developmental partners like the UN, we’re planning with the private sector so that we’re all walking on the same path. 🔗
