On this project, Herman worked with Daniel Deemac as musical director, while long-time collaborator Tatenda Gurupira co-wrote some of the songs. “This recording is my first live project after three studio albums, The Worship Experience Vol. 1, Worship Experience Extended Play and Overwhelmed.
Having worked on live DVDs with FIG Worship Culture and Heart of Worship, I felt it was time to grow as a soloist and release my own,” Herman said.
He revealed that the project blends urban gospel sounds with traditional genres like mbaqanga, ensuring it caters to both young and older audiences.
Herman also stressed the importance of collaboration in gospel music, saying it is vital for growth and for fulfilling the calling of spreading God’s word. “I worked with people who I knew would add value, like Daniel Deemac, well known for directing Harvest House Music.
I also collaborated with ELA Music, a group I lead at Eagle Life Assembly.
Our chemistry has been built over years and I know it will shine on stage,” he said.
The live recording promises to deliver a vibrant worship experience, with guest appearances from groups such as the Dunamis Men, Botswana’s Bianca Gabasiane, and other surprise acts. “We want people to come in numbers and join us as we give thanks to the Almighty.
This is more than music, it’s a moment of praise, worship, and gratitude,” Herman added. 🔗
