Currently, over 4,000 traders operate from the Glenview Area 8 complex.
The complex, frequently encountered fire breakouts have been attributed to human error.
The last inferno was in July 2025.
The blaze, which broke out around 5 am, destroyed goods valued at an estimated US$100,000, impacting businesses that specialise in carpentry, including the manufacture of wardrobes, kitchen units, and sofas.
After the last fire, the Government shared plans to construct a state-of-the-art trading facility for small and medium entrepreneurs who operate in the complex.
