Stock was gunned down on December 16, 2025, as he exited a building near the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg’s central business district, when he was approached by suspects who opened fire before fleeing the scene. The second suspect was arrested during a Crime Intelligence-led operation in the Marathon informal settlement in Primrose on Friday night. “The Gauteng Serious and Violent Crimes Investigation’s Provincial Investigation Unit has, during a Crime Intelligence-led take-down operation, arrested another suspect in connection with the murder of DJ Warras.
“The 25-year-old suspect, a Mozambican national, was arrested in Marathon informal settlement in Primrose around 20:00 on 30 January 2026,”Brigadier Brenda Muridili said. The police added that the suspect is expected to appear in court on Monday, February 2 2026, facing charges of murder and contravention of the Immigration Act.
