Chiwenga pressed Mnangagwa on the growing influence of what he described as “gluttons — the Zviganandas.” He accused four controversial businessmen of looting state resources: Delish Nguwaya, Scott Sakupwanya, Kuda Tagwirei, and Wicknell Chivayo. Mnangagwa defended the first of the accused, Nguwaya — founder of the Pomona Dumpsite project — saying simply, “He is my friend.” He also attempted to justify his relationships with Sakupwanya, Tagwirei, and Chivayo.
It was at this point that Chiwenga pressed further: “But President, when you come out of the helicopter, we see Wicknell Chivayo holding your cellphones — carrying all our secrets. You have entrusted them to a thief. You appear not to care. Is this because you are benefiting?” VP Chiwenga’s Face-to-Face Confrontation with Mnangagwa Right Inside State House | EXCLUSIVEhttps://t.co/430CexV71Bhttps://t.co/Hn8KhXSFAx— ZimEye (@ZimEye)September 24, 2025
