Zimbabwe News Update
Mbulelo MpofuTinotenda “Walker” Chifamba, the self-proclaimed eco-warrior and face of climate consciousness in Matabeleland, is facing a storm of his own making, a scandal swirling around fake EcoCash payments, unpaid debts and broken promises. The National Environmental Awareness Trust (Neat), frontman is accused of dodging payments owed to local service providers after a high-profile eco-summit – while jetting off to “Kenya” and “Uganda!”Bekezela Dube (facilitator) and photographer Benson “Beny G” Gonah faithfully delivered services for Chifamba’s “Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on Safeguarding Biodiversity,” held with much fanfare at Hillside Dams Conservancy last September.
