Festivalgoers at Ballito Big Week taking place at The Lawns in Ballito. The much-anticipated Ballito Big Week 2025 has officially begun at The Lawns in Ballito, KwaDukuza, drawing locals andholidaymakersalike for a festive celebration of music, art and community spirit. Despite the rainy weather over the weekend, the event has proven resilient, offering Mzansi’s music lovers an unforgettableexperiencefilled with a diverse lineup and a jubilant atmosphere.

This year’s festival, which kicked off on December 26, promises to be a treat for attendees, with headline shows set for December 28 and January 1. I had the pleasure of attending this year’s celebration on December 28, thanks to Tops at Spar, and what a night it was! Though the festivities initially started on a subdued note, the energy magnified as the evening progressed, ultimately filling thevenuewith excitement as night fell.

Upon entering the vibrant space, festivalgoers were greeted by a plethora of food and beverage stalls. The mantra was simple: eat, drink and be entertained. The line-up featured an impressive array of talent, including Man Q, Xola TSM, JNR Richi, Thakzin, 2wo Bunnies, Uncle Waffles, DBN Gogo and the Major League DJz.
