THE Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has announced a reduction in pump prices for petrol, diesel, kerosene and jet A-1 to K27.88, K24.50, K22.24 and K23.80 per litre, respectively. In a statement, ERB Board Chairperson James Banda said the reduction was driven by falling international prices and the 10.6 percent appreciation of the Kwacha against the US dollar in January 2026. “Since the last fuel price review on 31st December 2025, the international price of Petrol declined by 7.89 percent, falling from US$73.25/bbl to US$67.47/bbl.
