Sithole challenges the belief that success must happen according to a fixed timeline and encourages readers to focus on growth rather than comparison. According to the author, the idea for the book emerged from conversations with friends, colleagues and other young people who were struggling with similar questions about their futures. “The turning point came when I realised that many of the struggles that I was experiencing were not unique to me alone,” he said.
