HARARE – Musician and President of the Zimbabwe Musicians Union (ZIMU), Edith WeUtonga Katiji, has attacked poet Albert Nyathi, saying he lied at the Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZIMURA) Annual General Meeting, saying he quit being a member of ZIMU. According to Edith, Naythi lied to his members and that he made the whole AGM about ZIMU instead of talking about issues that affected ZIMURA. “Zvino kana murume mukuru wakuita Zimbabwe Musicians Union, your agenda at your flop AGM zvinobuda here?” asked Edith.

She continued, “Instead of listening to motions to stop the AGM, you imposed it on members. For the record, the man in the picture (Albert Nyathi) has never been a member of the union, yet he told a full house of 100 members out of 5000 that he was and had quit. “One wonders just how many more lies were told on the day just to get through it and avoid answering the hard-hitting questions from the people. Your lack of transparency, integrity, and honesty has failed an entire industry and denied musicians of their royalties.” Radio personality Babongile Sikhonjwa remembered as a friend…Sep 27, 202521,551 Radio personality Babongile Sikhonjwa remembered as a friend… ZIMURA under fire as musicians demand fraud convicted…Sep 26, 202531,244 ZIMURA under fire as musicians demand fraud convicted… Bosso mourn Babongile Sikhonjwa, describe him as a…Sep 23, 202523,178 Bosso mourn Babongile Sikhonjwa, describe him as a…
