DRUG STORM: Zimpapers leads Schools’ Anti-Abuse Crusade

IT was all about tough talk and tough love in Bulawayo today as Zimbabwe Newspapers (1980) Limited (Zimpapers) hosted a powerful Anti-Drug and Substance Abuse Indaba for schools at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre, Hall 3.

The awareness drive brought together pupils from 31 secondary schools to confront the growing scourge of drug and substance abuse that is tearing through communities and classrooms alike.

Ingutsheni Central Hospital Clinical Director, Dr Wellington Ranga, said while many young people turn to drugs as an escape, quitting is far from easy once the habit starts.
