THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says the delimitation of constituencies must be done before April 29, 2026, as it cannot take place after the voter register has been certified. Furthermore, the ECZ says it wants Article 52(6) of the Constitution to be amended so that elections can proceed if a candidate resigns or is disqualified after nomination, with cancellation of the polls only occurring in the event of a candidate’s death.
