From a cup poured in Cape Town to global recognition, Espressolab De Waterkant is redefining coffee culture. Cape Town’s Espressolab De Waterkant has been ranked among the world’s top 100 coffee shops, a significant accolade that places the city on an international list of distinguished cafés.The ranking was compiled by theWorld’s 100 Best Coffee Shops. Cape Town’s Espressolab De Waterkant has been ranked among the world’s top 100 coffee shops, a significant accolade that places the city on an international list of distinguished cafés.

It reviews coffee shops around the world based on quality, consistency, innovation and overall customer experience. Thousands of cafés are considered, but only 100 make the final cut. The De Smidt Street, Green Point café is known for its quality beans and well-made coffee.

It is also the second year in a row that it has made the list, after ranking 11th last year. Espressolab said 15,000 coffee shops were evaluated this year. “Our coffee director, Renato Correia, and our chief marketing officer, Ersin Kfeli, attended the award ceremony and received the award on behalf of Espressolab,” it said.
