ZAMBIA national futsal team coach Andrea Cristoforetti has set his sights on improving the country’s FIFA ranking as part of preparations for the upcoming Futsal Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers scheduled for next year. Speaking after Zambia thrashed South Africa 10-0 in the first of two international friendly matches played at the Automotive Indoor Futsal Arena, Cristoforetti said the Chipolopolo Futsal team is determined to complete a double over South Africa in the second friendly, scheduled for today, in order to further enhance their position on the FIFA rankings. The Italian tactician noted that an improved FIFA ranking would place Zambia in a more favourable position when the draws for the AFCON qualifiers are conducted.
