Court rejects Mojadigo’s application to postpone minor rape trial

Mojadigo, pastor at Divine Anointing Church International is currently serving a 20 -year sentence for a rape charge. He was sentenced last year before Mochudi Magistrate Court. Appearing before court today, Mojadigo made a plea to further postpone commencement citing that he is not ready to proceed due to financial constraints as a ground for his application.

It is a clear signal that the government’s purse is empty and that our own behaviour has left veterinary officials fighting with one hand tied behind their backs. We have been here before. During COVID-19, many of us thought we knew better.
