THE Lusaka Magistrates’ Court has ordered Emmanuel Mwamba’s two sureties to forfeit K50,000 each within 48 hours for failing to present him before court. Lusaka Magistrate Mbuywana Sinvula ordered Chinsali PF MP Kalalwe Mukosa and Bangweulu MP Anthony Kasandwe to forfeit the recognisance amount of K50,000 each. In this matter, Mwamba is charged with one count of engaging in seditious practices.
Mwamba is alleged to have posted on his Facebook page, urging people to carry out nationwide shutdowns or a national lockdown, claiming that things were not going well in the country.
