Trial postponed for ex-Harvester Primary teacher charged with sending explicit content to learner. The trial of a former Harvester Primary School teacher has been delayed yet again at the Mitchells Plain Regional Court. The 35-year-old former Grade R teacher faces charges of sexual grooming of a child and exposing a child to explicit material after she allegedly sent an explicit video to a former Grade 7 learner in June last year.

Tuesday’s proceedings were set to go to the trial portion of the case, but continued to be delayed as the court heard that the State needs to consult with witnesses. The court previously heard that the accused intends to enter a plea agreement and that she appointed big shot lawyer Raymond Davids to fight her case. While the case was at the lower courts, the investigating officer said he went to the school on June 10 , to which the principal said that she was made aware of the allegations by a concerned parent on June 4 last year. Warrant Officer Roland Peters testified: “The chats later evolved to where he asked her specifically what she wants from him.
