Malamulele police are appealing to the public for information that could help arrest suspects linked to the death of a 24-year-old man found floating in a stream. The victim, Xiyani Watters Maluleke, was last seen on January 1 while allegedly being assaulted by a group of people at a local liquor store in Hasani Dakari village. Provincial spokesperson in Limpopo Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the victim was reportedly collected by a bakkie but never returned home.

“The family and community members began searching the surrounding areas until his body was found floating in the stream,” he said. Ledwaba further stated that Maluleke’s body was discovered on Saturday, January 3, at around 08:30. He was positively identified by a next of kin as a resident of Hasani Mbhalati village. Police are urging anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to contact the Investigating Officer, Sergeant Rhulani Mabunda, on 083 550 8607, call the Crime Stop number 08600 10111, visit the nearest police station, or report via the MySAPSApp.
