Chirundu United and Red Arrows have advanced to the semifinals of the ABSA Cup after winning their respective quarterfinal matches played at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on Saturday.Chirundu progressed to the last four after eliminating favourites Zanaco via a 1-0 win in the lunchtime match.Darius Phiri scored a first half goal that separated Chirundu and Zanaco.In the semifinals, Chirundu will face Red Arrows.Meanwhile, Arrows eased into the semifinals via a 4-1 win over Play It Forward in the second quarterfinal match at Arthur Davies Stadium.International striker Albert Kangwanda grabbed a brace for the Airmen.The two teams went to the break with a 1-1 score-line after Daison Phiri’s 41st minute goal canceled Kangwanda’s 23rd minute lead.Arrows scored three more goals in the last half through Kangwanda, Ackim Mumba and Alassane Diarra.On Sunday, ABSA Cup quarterfinal action shifts to Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.Mighty Mufulira Wanderers will face FC MUZA at 12h30 while the 15h00 fixture will see Power Dynamos clash with ‘Brave’ Nchanga Rangers. Play it foward can’t lose.
