He first struck Prince Mutereko three times on the head with a machete for unknown reasons.
Mutereko sustained deep head wounds and required urgent medical treatment.
During the same confrontation, Blessing Bangai tried to intervene to protect Mutereko.
The man then struck Bangai once on the head with a stone, causing another deep head injury.
Meanwhile, the National Prosecuting Authority has strongly condemned violence, urging communities to settle disputes peacefully and to report any threats or violent behaviour before it escalates.
