The highly anticipated Legends Derby between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates has been cancelled. The match was scheduled to take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Sunday, March 29. In a statement, organisers said the decision was not taken lightly.
“Despite our unwavering commitment and extensive efforts to bring this historic and nostalgic event to life, we have encountered circumstances beyond our control that have made it impossible to proceed as planned,” the statement read. Ticket holders have been advised that full refunds will be processed through the official ticketing partner, Ticketpro. The eThekwini Municipality apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked supporters for their understanding.
