Zimbabwe’s Chido Maenzanise has claimed the title of Africa’s Strongest Woman after a commanding performance at the Eastrand Strongest competition in South Africa on Saturday, 25 October 2025. Her victory not only earned her continental bragging rights but also secured her a coveted spot at the upcoming World’s Strongest competition, marking a major milestone for Zimbabwean strength sports.

Chido Maenzanise Competing in the Open Category, Maenzanise outperformed 12 elite challengers in a series of punishing strength events. These included the lever deadlift, vehicle push, circus dumbbell, dinner stones, and the log ladder—each designed to test raw power, endurance, and mental grit.
