Chelsea Donate Part of Club World Cup Bonus to Late Diogo Jota’s Family

Chelsea FC have extended a touching gesture of solidarity and compassion by donating a portion of their FIFA Club World Cup bonus to the family of the late Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident last month.
The Premier League side recently lifted the Club World Cup trophy after a commanding 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
Their triumph earned the club an estimated $114. 6 million (£84. 4m) in prize money, with around $15. 5 million (£11. 4m) earmarked as bonuses for the players.
A share of those bonuses was voluntarily set aside to support Jota’s grieving family, in a move that has been widely praised as a rare example of unity and compassion in the modern game.
