The project operates through seven (7) established hubs (Hwange, Lupane, Plumtree, Gwanda, Masvingo, Gweru, and Chinhoyi), leveraging their legitimacy, reach, and convening power within communities. To support effective implementation and results measurement, ZCA seeks to engage a qualified consultant/firm to conduct a baseline study. Purpose of the AssignmentThe baseline study will establish benchmark data on key project indicators, assess community knowledge, attitudes, and practices, and inform project implementation, monitoring, and learning.
Design and implement a mixed-methods baseline studyCollect and analyse data across all 7 faith hubsAssess community status in:o Ecological sustainabilityo Social accountability and cohesiono Economic empowerment and livelihoods Develop baseline values for key indicatorsProduce a comprehensive baseline report with practical recommendations Key DeliverablesInception Report (methodology, tools, workplan) Clean dataset and data collection toolsPresentation of findings to stakeholders DurationThe assignment is expected to be completed within 20–30 working days. Qualifications and ExperienceThe ideal consultant/firm should have: A postgraduate qualification in Social Sciences, Development Studies, EnvironmentalStudies, or related fieldAt least 5 years’ experience conducting baseline or evaluation studiesStrong expertise in mixed-methods research and data analysisExperience in climate, governance, or livelihoods programmingExperience working with faith-based or community structures is an added advantageApplication Requirements
