“It’s still a new game to many people, so this tournament is mainly an introductory game for many people, so they appreciate and understand the game and take part in the game,” Dzagwati explained Clamour Chaduka, Vice Chairman of the Mashonaland West Footgolf Association, noted that the game is gaining traction as more people become interested The province plans to stage various tournaments but faces challenges in securing suitable facilities “We are still reaching out to the corporate world to partner with us, so we have sponsors for the game, especially in the rural areas,” Chaduka said
“Our challenges are on having the right facilities as we now have to improvise the existing school football grounds, and we hope as many schools get on board the facilities will be improving as many people join the gentleman’s game.”
Chaduka emphasized that Footgolf is engaging young people and helping them stay away from substance abuse “Young people are showing enthusiasm in the sport, and it’s helping them to stay away from drug and substance abuse as they have something that occupies them.”
