NEW YORK – Hip-hop icon Busta Rhymes has strongly denied allegations of assault, wage theft, and emotional harm brought against him by a former personal assistant, dismissing the claims as “fabricated” and vowing to take legal action of his own As reported by TMZ, Dashiel Gables, who briefly worked for Busta, is set to hold a press conference later today at Columbus Park in Brooklyn to announce a formal lawsuit against the rapper The suit reportedly includes accusations of assault and battery, as well as unpaid wages and emotional distress The controversy stems from a physical altercation between the two in January, which led to police questioning Busta Rhymes
No charges were filed at the time Responding exclusively to TMZ Hip Hop, Busta hit back at the claims:
“I have been made aware of the claims made by Dashiel Gables, and I completely and categorically deny these allegations,” Busta said “For a very brief period, Dashiel assisted me, but it did not work out Apparently, Dashiel has decided to respond to being let go by manufacturing claims against me in an attempt to attack and damage my reputation.”
The rapper added that he is preparing a countersuit against Gables, calling the lawsuit a “shakedown” by a “disgruntled former assistant.”
“I look forward to proving these allegations false and am preparing a countersuit which I am confident will expose this for what it is — an attempted shake-down
