FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have rejected crack Tanzanian outfit Simba Sports Club’s request to release their trampcard Chikumbutso Salima for trials. The People’s Team acting chief executive officer Albert Chigoga confirmed the snub in an interview yesterday, saying the Tanzanian club was not being serious. He said: “They [Simba SC] presented a proposal for trials which we denied.
“Salima is a hghly talented player and the stats are there for all to see. I thought they saw him play before approaching us?” On whether they are prepared to sell their player of the moment should they get a tempting offer, Chigoga said: “Being available for sale or not depends on the interested clubs’ ability to meet our valuation of the player. “Otherwise, we are not desperate to sell any of our players.
Simba officials could not be reached for comment yesterday. The 23-year old shone on the TNM Super League this season, topping the assist list with 11 and was also joint top scorer alongside teammate Babatunde Adepoju with 15 goals apiece.
