The security guard accompanied the man to the scene, where they found Ncube lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds to the chest and bleeding profusely.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance but died upon arrival.
The suspect is still at large and police have since launched a manhunt.
In a separate incident of attempted murder that occurred in Kensington on the outskirts of Bulawayo, an 85-year-old caretaker was attacked in his room at around 5 PM.
The suspect, a woman whose age was not given, allegedly entered the caretaker’s quarters and demanded sex.
When the victim refused, the woman picked up an axe and struck him once on the neck, inflicting a deep cut on the right side.
The elderly man was rushed to hospital for treatment.
A report was made to the police leading to the arrest of the suspect.
Insp Msebele urged the public to shun violence and assist police with information. “We appeal to members of the public with any information that may lead to the arrest of the suspect to report to the nearest police station.
We also urge people to desist from any form of violence in the event of disputes” she said.
