President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko has embarked on international trips to South Africa and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to a press release from the Office of the President, President Boko took a private visit to South Africa from September 3 to 5. It also states that he will proceed for a working visit to Dubai from September 5 to 9.
While in Dubai, the President is expected to engage in a series of high-level business meetings with potential investors. βThese talks are aimed at positioning Botswana as a leading destination for trade, investment and tourism, as well as advancing its ambitions to become a regional financial hub in line with the countryβs Economic Transformation Programme,β says the release. In his absence Vice President Ndaba Gaolathe will act as the President.ENDS The President is expected back home on September 9.
