beitbridge east residents benefit from government poultry empowerment programme on sunday, hundreds of community members gathered at the beitbridge district club to receive broiler chicks and essential inputs, marking the official launch of the poultry project in the district. several beneficiaries expressed gratitude, saying the initiative was transforming lives and helping families meet essential needs such as education and food security. “we are really enjoying projects from the ruling party because we are now taking our children to school, paying fees using the money we get from selling chicken and also eggs,” a beneficiary said.

“we voted for them and we are grateful they did not forget us, now we can safely go to the public and campaign for our ruling party, zanu pf, because we are really benefiting from the chicken project,” a community member said. another resident echoed the sentiment, noting that the project had restored community confidence in government programmes. “we are happy about these projects and this shows the beauty of the president’s vision, and as dulivhadzimu district, we are happy to receive this poultry project,” a resident said. zanu pf dulivhadzimu district chairperson, cde raymond chasauka, commended the government’s continued focus on poverty reduction, highlighting that the initiative aligns with the second republic’s mantra of leaving no one and no place behind.

“the government has made remarkable achievements in poverty reduction in various communities under the leaving no one and no place behind mantra. since we voted zanu pf into power, we have seen good projects coming to the people,” cde chasauka said. minister of state for matabeleland south provincial affairs and devolution, honourable albert nguluvhe, said the poultry initiative was part of government’s ongoing efforts to deliver on promises made during the election campaign. “when we campaigned as the ruling party, we made some promises, and here today we are delivering our promises by providing different projects to the community,” honourable nguluvhe said.

since 2017, the second republic has made notable strides in implementing people-centred empowerment programmes, particularly in rural and border communities such as beitbridge, to ensure equitable development and economic inclusion. source: zbc news
