News / LocalBCC launch blitz on traffic laws violatorby Stephen Jakes16 mins ago |21ViewsThe City of Bulawayo has announced a citywide blitz targeting motorists and informal traders who have violated traffic by-laws or failed to pay outstanding fees.In a public notice issued by Town Clerk Christopher Dube, the municipality said it will enforce Statutory Instrument 220 of 2023 (City of Bulawayo Clamping and Tow-away By-Laws), focusing on vehicles fined for loading and offloading passengers at undesignated spots—particularly buses, kombis, and pirate taxis.”Those who have not cleared their fines will have their vehicles towed to a storage facility,” Dube warned.
“They will be required to pay tow-away and storage fees to reclaim their vehicles.”The blitz will also cover informal traders operating at designated vending sites and bays.
