Broadcasting giant, AzamTV has secured rights to broadcast the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which is set to start on 21 December. In a statement, AzamTV remarked that all the 52 matches will be shown live on Azam Sports HD channels, which are accessible from US$10. “The matches will be available on Plus (US$10) and Play (US$15) TV Packages.
Football fans can also stream them through AzamTV Max, our OTT platform,” read part of the statement. The AFCON games will be played in Morocco with the hosts locking horns with Comoros in the first match. Zimbabwe’s first match will be on 22 December as they play against Egypt.
“As always, this partnership underscores our commitment to providing the best sporting entertainment to our audience. The acquisition strengthens our position as the leading provider of premium content in Africa,” the statement continued. AFCON is Africa’s premium biennial men’s football competition and is organized by CAF.
