ANDY Muridzo’s former manager, Onisimo Saini, has offered to pay US$10, a month, which translates to about 33 cents a day, for the upkeep of each of his two children. It could not be establish yesterday whether he took his age into consideration. If he did, it means he used the number of years he has lived to calculate the amount of cents, which he could afford to pay a day, for the maintenance of each of his two kids.

Onisimo, who used to be Muridzo’s confidante, said he was only able to pay US$20 a month in child support, for his two kids. This translates to roughly 66 cents a day for the two kids. The magistrate had to intervene to bring order back into the court amid the explosion of laughter.

Onisimo said he could not afford to pay anything more than US$20 a month, for both kids, because he was now also being maintained by someone else. “I am not currently employed, your Worship,” Saini told the Harare Civil Court. The magistrate ordered Saini to pay US$150, per month, for the two children.

This means he is paying US$75 in support of each of his two kids. The difference between what he has been ordered to pay is US$65, a month, for each of his two children. He was dragged to court by his former wife Gamuchirai Zvorwadza, 32, who accused him of neglecting their two children.

Saini separated from Gamuchirai in April last year. He returned to stay with her in December after he was kicked out by his mistress, identified only as Lynet, from her home in Budiriro.
