The event marks a crucial milestone in Zimbabwe’s efforts to advance digital technology adoption nationwide. The eagerly anticipated Digitalize Zimbabwe Expo will take place at Mikeles Park in Mutare between June 27 and 28. Organized by the Digitalize Zimbabwe Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Information Communication Technology (ICT) and Courier Services, the expo aims to engage stakeholders across all sectors in the country’s digital transformation.
According to Pascal Kwaramba, a member of the Digitalize Zimbabwe Committee, the partnership strategically organizes expos to showcase cutting-edge digital advancements and reach all Zimbabweans. “Our collaboration with the Ministry of ICT and Courier Services ensures stakeholders in digital infrastructure directly connect with the communities they serve,” Kwaramba stated. “These expos bridge the digital divide and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.” Kwaramba emphasized the expo’s inclusive approach, noting that widespread stakeholder participation will provide a comprehensive overview of Zimbabwe’s evolving digital ecosystem.
“A wide range of exhibitors will showcase their products and services,” he said. ICT minister, Tendai Mavetera, is expected to reaffirm the government’s commitment to accelerating digital transformation and supporting key initiatives driving Zimbabwe’s digital economy. The Manicaland edition promises to be an engaging and educational experience, offering attendees insights into the latest digital services and solutions. “We encourage community members seeking to understand digital service providers and how technology can enhance their lives to attend and engage directly with these innovators,”Kwaramba added.
