The discovery of a woman’s body in a car at a shopping centre in Alberton on Friday has led to the arrest of her husband. Police have linked the woman to a missing person’s report, and bloodstains were later found at her home on Saturday. Alberton police confirmed that on Friday, a woman reported her friend missing at the Alberton police station.
The missing person’s details were officially registered,reportsAlberton Record. Later that day, at around 6pm, Brackendowns SAPS recovered a vehicle at the shopping centre with the woman’s body inside the boot. The car was registered to the missing person.
Following the discovery, Alberton police and CPS Security visited the victim’s residence, where a friend of the husband was found parked at the gate. Investigators discovered blood stains inside the house and identified additional witnesses who were interviewed. The husband was traced throughout the night and, when he arrived at the property the following morning, he was arrested for murder.
