By Takawira Photoveteran Dapi Zimbabwe’s legendary dub poetry artist, Albert Nyathi, is set to dazzle international audiences as he headlines the Inkaba Festival (also known as the Umbilical Cord Festival) in London on 3 August 2025 and in Birmingham on 9 August 2025. Nyathi, a multi-award-winning artist, left Zimbabwe for Europe earlier this week, departing from Robert Mugabe International Airport. But before boarding his flight, Nyathi took a moment to reflect on a tragic incident in his homeland, expressing his condolences for the lives lost in a head-on collision in Chitungwiza on Tuesday.
“Firstly, I send my condolences to the families affected by the Chitungwiza accident. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured and offer my support to those who have lost loved ones,” Nyathi said solemnly.
