Prosper Tiringindi (Independent)
Tsungai Mandati (Independent, widow of the late Tafara Masimba)
Simbarashe Shonhiwa (Zanu PF)

The failure to field a candidate comes after Tshabangu seized control of the CCC, prompting the party’s founder, Advocate Nelson Chamisa, to quit, citing heavy infiltration and interference within the party.

Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) officials stressed the need for a peaceful electoral process, saying:
“Shun violence… we want a peaceful election,” adding that all candidates and supporters must conduct themselves responsibly throughout the campaign period.

ZEC further reminded voters to adhere to electoral guidelines and to report any suspicious activities to ensure a free, fair, and safe by-election. 🔗
