BINDURA – In a scandal that has left the town’s WhatsApp groups on fire and political circles reeling, Saymore Mhene, a well-known businessman and political figure in Bindura, has found himself at the centre of a humiliating storm after being lured, stripped of dignity, and trapped inside the bedroom of a married woman.

An image of Mhene, disheveled and visibly stunned, has become the visual symbol of a botched escapade gone public — his face, a portrait of disbelief, as his alleged affair turned into a brutal ambush.

According to court documents and an explosive interview given by Triphiner Gwafa (popularly known as Mai Nga), Mhene’s pursuit had long crossed boundaries of ordinary friendship.

The pair had met years ago through their sons, who once shared a dormitory at Mazowe Boys High.

But behind Mhene’s interest was something darker. “He asked if my husband was satisfying me,” recalled Mai Nga. “Later, he told me he had a dream where I was crying because I was sex-starved. ”
To a devout Apostolic sect follower like her, the claim was disturbing, if not predatory.

At the time, Mai Nga was separated from her husband Tondera Matukanzvimbo, who had taken on two more wives.

But instead of drawing her closer, Mhene’s dream talk raised suspicions — and ultimately led to a painstakingly coordinated trap.

On the day of the incident, Mhene — likely believing his dream was manifesting into reality — parked his vehicle at a nearby service station and walked barefoot into the lion’s den.

According to court evidence, he entered the Matukanzvimbo residence and followed Mai Nga into the bedroom. 🔗
