Political stakeholders in Mporokoso District have commended the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) for the professional manner in which they have handled the receipt and offloading of ballot papers ahead of the August 13, 2026 General Elections. The stakeholders say the Commission has demonstrated transparency and professionalism by addressing concerns raised by political party representatives throughout the process. And the United Party for National Development (UPND) representative Patrick Mulenga praised the Commission for adhering to established procedures, describing the level of professionalism exhibited by ECZ officials as commendable. Meanwhile, National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) representative Chrispine Kachusha expressed satisfaction with the manner in which the process was conducted, stating that the Commission met the expectations of all stakeholders through a transparent and orderly exercise. The ballot papers were successfully offloaded today, August 4, 2026, at 07:50 hours in the presence of political party representatives and other election stakeholders.
