To establish a constructive working relationship, Port Shepstone Business Forum (PSBF) convened a meeting with theMarch and Marchmovement at Umdlalo Lodge in Umtentweni on July 23. The forum’s CEO, Vijay Naidoo, said that the discussions were conducted in a respectful and solutions-oriented manner, with both parties expressing a willingness to work together in the interests of social cohesion and sustainable economic growth. “Key discussion highlighted at building a collaborative relationship, both organisations acknowledged the importance of maintaining open communication and regular engagement to address issues affecting businesses and communities before they escalate, as well as supporting local employment.”Naidoo added the meeting recognised the need to increase employment opportunities for South African citizens through constructive engagement with employers, skills development initiatives, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Both organisations committed to continuing constructive dialogue based on mutual respect and shared responsibility for the future of the Port Shepstone business community. “The meeting represents an important first step towards building trust, strengthening partnerships and finding practical solutions that benefit businesses, employees and the wider community,” concluded Naidoo.
