A HARARE fast food outlet lost more than US$6,000 when a thief broke into the shop. The thief first damaged the CCTV installed in the cash office and stole US$US$6,729 and ZiG279. Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case.

“Police are investigating an unlawful entry and theft at a food outlet along Chinhoyi Street. “At the scene, details noticed that a CCTV camera installed in the cash office was not functioning and the one installed just above the office door was damaged,” he said. In a related case, Tanyaradzwa Chamboko of Ruwa lost US$2,000 when thieves broke into her clothing shop and stole several items.
