Katlego Ramphaleng’sMy Rich Kasi Lifestyleis rewriting what success looks like, proving that real wealth is found in purpose, multiple income streams and staying proudly rooted in the township that raised you Inspired by Maruapula, the township she calls home, Katlego deliberately chose authenticity over aesthetics. “The vlogs were inspired by the fact that I always saw the flashy side of vlogs and not the relatable content.

I was showing people my reality and authentic life that most people could relate to and inspire them through my life story,” she told Time Out. The message has resonated because it swaps aspiration for accessibility. Instead of pretending success looks one way, Katlego celebrates everyday wins, family, community and relentless ambition.

“Don’t let society determine what a celebrity life should be like and put yourself under pressure,” she said. Katlego said she possesses more than 20 talents, and she’s determined to use them. Music introduced her to the public, but she refused to stop there.

She has ventured into cooking, fashion, beauty products and recently opened Simply Fresh, and currently employs seven people. Her fast-food brand, Mmantlo Goodies, launched during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 through personal investment and determination, proving that building from scratch can still create opportunities for others. “It is important to do more and explore your talents… I always make sure I don’t dwell in one place and not limit myself,” she said.

Despite entrepreneurship keeping her busy, music still lives close to her heart. Following the passing of her brother, Dramaboi, she admits the grief reshaped her relationship with her craft. “I still have the trauma of losing everything, music is taking everything from me spiritually and financially… however my music journey is not closed and I am coming back soon because there are people out there who need my music.”
