Known online as The Introverted Baker, Pillay built a loyal following by sharing simple family recipes and glimpses into life in her kitchen. For Pillay, opening a restaurant was never a sudden decision.
“For years this was the goal,” she said. “I shared recipes and pieces of my life online because cooking has always been my love language. As an introvert, I was never loud, but my food would do the talking.” As her audience grew, she noticed something changing.
