Miss Malawi expands her digital footprint

I wanted to create something more permanent. A website gives me the opportunity to document my journey, tell my story in my own voice and create a trusted source where people can learn about my work, my values and the causes I champion. It allows me to shape my own narrative rather than have it shaped for me.

More importantly, I want it to be a place where every Malawian, and anyone around the world, can connect with the woman behind the crown. Whether someone wants to learn about my advocacy, partner with me or simply follow my journey, they now have a home where that story lives. Q: How will the website help you advance your advocacy work?

A: Advocacy is most effective when people can easily access information, understand the vision and find ways to become part of it. The website helps me achieve exactly that. It serves as the digital headquarters for my advocacy work, particularly the Sustainable Fashion and Women Empowerment Initiative.

It brings together our projects, impact stories, milestones and future ambitions in one place, making it easier for supporters, development partners, businesses and the public to engage with our mission. Q: How do you want to reach your audiences and what impact do you want them to see, especially as Miss Malawi? As Miss Malawi, I want people to see that the crown is not simply about appearances.

It is a platform for leadership, service and influence. I hope young women see possibility. I hope communities see partnership.

I hope organisations see someone who is committed to creating measurable social impact. If my journey inspires even one person to believe in their own potential or to invest in changing someone else’s life, then I believe I am fulfilling my responsibility. Q: Beyond the website, what other projects or initiatives should Malawians expect from you?

Beyond my initiative, I am also working on building stronger partnerships with the private sector, development organisations and institutions that share a vision for empowering communities. I believe collaboration is one of the most powerful tools for creating lasting change.
