Table View police launch coroner’s inquest after head boy’s fatal head injury. An inquest has been opened into the death of Connor Niske the Parklands College head boy who was found dead on Sunday. Table View police confirmed that SAPS responded to an incident at a medical facility around 00:51am on 7 June 2026.
“Police reports state that when the members attended to the complaint they found a body ofa 17-year-old male victimwho had passed on upon his arrival at the nearby hospital due to the bullet wound sustained on his head,” police spokesperson Thembakazi Mpendukana said. The tragedy left his family, friends and school community heartbroken as they mourn the loss of a young man remembered for his leadership, kindness and bright future. The teenager’s death sent shockwaves among those who knew him, with many struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of a life filled with promise.
As tributes continue to pour in forConnor, friends, classmates and educators are remembering a young man whose kindness, selflessness and dedication left a lasting impression on everyone around him. “Connor really made the most of every opportunity. He did not shy away from hard work, even the unseen and unrewarded hard work, like the striking of a stage when all the musicians and friends were long gone!” Those heartfelt words were shared by Parklands College and Christopher Robin Pre-Primary educator Alexis Matsimela, who recalled Connor’s remarkable work ethic and his quiet willingness to help others, even when no one was watching and there was no expectation of praise.
