A funeral service provider and related industry body have rejected viral allegations surrounding the burial of Dr Thamsanqa Elijah Nkonyane, president of the Enyonini Mission Church, insisting that no bricks were found in the coffin. Icebolethu Group has responded to growing public scrutiny surrounding the funeral of the late Dr Thamsanqa Elijah Nkonyane, president of the Enyonini Mission Church in Newcastle, insisting that the service was conducted in full compliance with legal requirements and established procedures. Funeral proceedings were halted, after which the coffin was later allegedly found to contain bricks.

“Icebolethu carried this burial like any other dignified burial we handle.
